Getting Your UV Curing Right Without Breaking the Bank
Let’s be honest: most off-the-shelf UV lamps are a pain. Either they’re too bulky to fit into your press, or they come with a price tag that makes sense for a massive corporation, but not for a small shop. That’s where we come in. We build custom mercury vapor lamps specifically for printers who need high-end results but don’t have an “enterprise” budget.
How it actually works
Here is the simple version: we run an electric current through mercury vapor. That creates short-wave UV radiation, which hits your ink and triggers a reaction. The ink polymerizes—basically, it hardens—instantly. But you can’t just throw any lamp on a belt. If you’re cranking up your line speed, you need more punch. That means higher wattage or a tighter array of lamps. Otherwise, you’re just looking at smeared ink and wasted material.
Built for your specific setup
We don’t do “standard sizes” because your equipment probably isn’t standard. You give us the length and the power you need, and we build it to those exact specs. We use high-purity quartz glass, too. Why? Because cheap glass absorbs the UV light. Quartz lets it fly right through and hit the ink where it belongs. One thing to keep in mind:heat is the enemy. A high-wattage lamp is great for a heavy UV dose, but it gets hot. Really hot. If your fans or water jackets can’t keep up, you’ll end up warping your substrate or frying the lamp. We’ll help you find that sweet spot between power and cooling.
No need to rip out your wiring
The last thing you want to do is spend a weekend rewiring your entire control cabinet just to upgrade a bulb. Our lamps are designed to be drop-in replacements. We match your existing sockets and wiring so you can just plug in and get back to work. It’s a simple way to speed up your curing time without having to buy a whole new machine.
