When you’re replacing lamps in a KTK oval printing line, “close enough” just doesn’t cut it. You don’t want to spend your afternoon rewiring the machine or messing with drying timers because you bought a part that’s almost right. That’s why we built the ROQDRY infrared lamp. We made it a true 1:1 match for KTK specs so you can just swap them out and get back to work. The boring (but important) stuff Voltage, wattage, and length. If any of those are off, you’re in trouble. Even a 10% difference in wattage can mean the difference between ink that won’t cure and a ruined, burnt shirt. We matched the KTK voltage exactly. This means your transformer won’t be stressed out. We also obsessed over the length. If the tube is too long, it won’t fit the sockets. Too short? You get cold spots on your garments. We made sure it fits perfectly. What’s actually inside We use high-purity quartz glass because these things go through a lot of stress with constant on-off cycles. Inside, the tungsten filament is tuned for shortwave infrared. In plain English: the heat hits the ink fast and hard, triggering that chemical bond (polymerization) without cooking the fabric underneath. Getting them installed This is the easy part. You can use your existing KTK connectors without hacking away at the housing. It’s a simple plug-and-play swap. But a quick heads-up: these shortwave lamps put out a lot of heat, very quickly. If you’re running them at full blast, take a second to check your exhaust. If the air isn’t moving, heat builds up in the housing and your quartz tubes won’t last nearly as long. And one last tip—**don’t touch the glass with your bare hands.**Use a clean, lint-free cloth. The oils from your skin create tiny hot spots on the quartz, and that’s usually why a lamp cracks the first time you turn it on.
