That 24.25-inch size isn’t a random number. It’s designed to cover the entire width of your material. If the bulb is too short, you get cold spots at the edges, and that’s where the mistakes happen. We go for high wattage because we know you need those solvents to evaporate fast so you can keep the line moving. But here is the thing:double-check your voltage before you hit buy. If the voltage is too low, you won’t get enough heat. If it’s too high? You’ll fry the filament way sooner than you should. Also, keep your reflectors clean. A Few Pro Tips for Installation
Replacing these is easy, but there’s one golden rule:do not touch the quartz with your bare hands. It sounds weird, but the oils from your skin create tiny hotspots. Once the lamp heats up, those spots become weak points, and the glass fails. Use a clean cloth or gloves. And one last thing. If you decide to jump to a higher-wattage bulb to speed up your production, keep an eye on your power supply. More heat means more current.
